Tuned dampers provide highly effective vibration suppression for systems operating at near-constant frequencies. These systems include everything from skyscrapers and wind turbines to helicopters, power lines, and automotive applications. Highly effective when properly implemented, tuned dampers require precise parameter selection to achieve optimal performance.

When feasible, system redesign is particularly advantageous when space constraints or performance requirements make add-on damping solutions impractical.
